First I calculated my BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) which is the amount of calories my body burns by just doing it's daily functions.
So I'm aiming to go from 179.4 lbs to under 170 lbs in six weeks. That's around 10 lbs to lose in six weeks. Is that realistic? I'm not entirely sure.
Project Skinny Summer is what I'm calling the self imposed health kick I'm going to be going on this summer. I'm a teacher so I've got six weeks off work to focus on getting fit and losing a bit of weight.

Netflix has this new series called Glow. It's a comedy series about a washed up director trying to start a ladies wrestling TV show. Fathers Day is fast approaching and I find myself reflecting on the fact that I have never known my father. I've heard that "daddy issues" are behaviors or issues that stem from having an absent or unhealthy relationship with your father and I wondered - do I have any?
What do you do when you're alone on a Saturday night? You book yourself into the cinema to go and see Wonder Woman. I, much like Diana Prince herself, am a strong and powerful woman - solo cinema trips don't faze me.
'm going to have a lot of free time this summer and (weather permitting) I plan to spend a lot of it laying on a blanket in the garden and reading. I've picked out three books that I want to get through before Autumn sets in.
