In my opinion the exhibits are more interesting than those found in The National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh but the Kelvingrove isn't as well looked after. The interactive exhibits were broken when I arrived, I noticed lots of empty displays and things like peeling labels gave the place a bit of a run down feel. I took some pictures of the displays I found most interesting and thought I'd share them here.
It's been a long time since I got a piercing. Years in fact. When I was younger I had quite a few but as I got older and found big girl jobs I removed them all. So it took me by surprise when at 2am last night I was looking for recommendations for piercing studios in Edinburgh because I wanted my nose pierced.
In the past month my partner and I have spent over £130 on takeaway food. That's only if you count the orders from Just Eat. If I go onto my Just Eat app right now there are 8 different orders from chip shops and Chinese takeaways. I know I've also ordered things from Pizza Hut and Dominoes this month. That probably boosts my takeaway spending to over £160.
First I calculated my BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) which is the amount of calories my body burns by just doing it's daily functions.
So I'm aiming to go from 179.4 lbs to under 170 lbs in six weeks. That's around 10 lbs to lose in six weeks. Is that realistic? I'm not entirely sure.
Project Skinny Summer is what I'm calling the self imposed health kick I'm going to be going on this summer. I'm a teacher so I've got six weeks off work to focus on getting fit and losing a bit of weight.
In the 9 months that I've been pole dancing I've picked up loads of words and terms that make lots of sense to those in the pole word but pole muggles wouldn't have a clue.
Netflix has this new series called Glow. It's a comedy series about a washed up director trying to start a ladies wrestling TV show. It's set in the 80s and the trailers made it look both hilarious and empowering. I throughly enjoyed the first episode and I thought I'd share some of my thoughts with you.
Stirling is my old stomping ground. I spent many a night out there whilst I attended the local university. Last weekend I found myself back there looking for somewhere to grab food and drinks. It had been a really sunny day and it was a Saturday night so the town was heaving.
It's a five mile obstacle course that promises to push you to your limits. I teamed up with my boyfriend and a male friend of mine in the hopes that they'd have the strength to haul me over the particularly difficult obstacles.
